However, this decision deeply upsets her grandfather, Wen Shi, who has grown accustomed to their life together and shares a strong bond with her. In the unfamiliar urban environment, Lechang Shi faces harsh treatment from her strict music teacher, who insults and punishes her, making her long for the warmth of her grandfather and their village life. When she stands up for her father’s dignity, she clashes with the teacher, putting Wu Shi in a difficult position.Tragically, Wu Shi is diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. Knowing his time is limited, he decides to take Lechang Shi back to the village after the school term so she can stay with her grandfather. During their final days in the city, she meets Xingchu Lu, a music student, who teaches her the violin and offers her encouragement and support. In the end, Lechang Shi returns to the village, performing at school with the violin Lu gifted her.
